A Season of Greater Glory
But the path of the just is as the shining light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18, KJV)
Imagine observing the sun in the early morning and watching its brightness intensify gradually until noon when it reaches its full glory. This imagery represents the trajectory of your life, particularly in this season, designed for escalating glory.
As highlighted in our recent Newsletter, two powerful trends prevail on Earth: intensifying darkness and increasing glory. As a child of God, you are aligned with the light. If you are reading this and haven’t yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, there is no better time than now to step out of the enveloping darkness and into His radiant light.
Understanding “greater glory” involves recognizing a few key truths. Firstly, “greater” signifies a comparison between two degrees of glory. The second point of comparison is the contrast between the glory experienced in the Old Testament and that in the New. If you’ve ever thought Israel had a superior experience of God compared to the church, prepare to be astonished by God’s current workings. The Scripture declares, “The glory of the latter house (us in Christ) will be greater than the former (Israel)” (Haggai 2:9).
But the most exhilarating truth lies in the individual experience of every believer. Like stars varying in brightness (1 Cor. 15:41), each believer manifests a unique degree of Christ’s presence and power—their current level of glory. Christ, the epitome of God’s glory, resides in all of us, yet our expression of Him varies based on our revelation, faith, obedience, and other factors.
Here is God’s vision for your life: the degree of brightness or light today should surpass that of yesterday, and tomorrow’s should eclipse today’s. Your life, akin to the early morning sun, is destined to shine brighter with God’s glory as the day of Jesus’ return draws nearer.
Meditate
Reflect on the current degree of light radiating from your life and how it compares to your past.
Apply the Word
This year marks your era of greater glory. Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1).
Pray
Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to help you shine with increasing brightness, surpassing your illumination from the previous year.
