You can acquire the wisdom of God!
THE proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; To perceive the words of understanding (Proverbs 1:1–2 KJV)
The Church has known revivals, mainly governed by an outpouring of power and a heavenly directed transformation of people’s lives. Revivals are wonderful, and there is a wave of power that is coming upon the Church. However, what God wants to do in these last days will be different from what many of us are familiar with. It will include but transcend spiritual gifts, healings, deliverances, anointings, etc. It will be a wave of glory, mature sons of God living LIKE God. Think of how Jesus lived on earth. His life was more than just miracles. He was a walking living manifestation of how God looks like, in power, wisdom, and character.
We are accustomed to prayers and fastings for revivals, awakenings and moves of God. God is calling the Church to walk in the Truth and His wisdom as well as His power. I have shared this repeatedly and will continue to do so. For the most part, the Church has known the power of God to some degree. However, the overwhelming majority has not known God’s wisdom, that is, the ways of God. There is a heavenly invitation to attend wisdom’s banquet.
Divine wisdom can be acquired. Solomon teaches us in the verse above that the instruction of His Word brings about God’s wisdom. His Word is the divine tool for imparting wisdom. The Holy Spirit will impart wisdom as a gift, but above all desires to put the Word in our hearts. Get wisdom.
MEDITATE
Can God’s wisdom be acquired? What did James say about this in James 1:5?
APPLY THE WORD
Oh, how the Father desires us to know His ways, that is, wisdom! This coming outpouring will demand diligent doing of the Word and yielding to the Spirit to walk in the Truth. Cry out to God for wisdom. After crying out and asking for it, do the work! Seek wisdom. Seek His Truth in the Word. Feed on the Word. Yield and do it. ( Prov. 2:3-4).
PRAY
Ask the Father for wisdom according to James 1:5.
