The law of the Spirit puts you above life!

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. (Rom. 8:2 NAS)

This is an amazing verse. The scripture has told us that the soul that sins shall die because the wages of sin is death. There is not a single one of us alive today that has not sinned. Rather than death, we are experiencing life through Christ. Why? A higher law, than the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus comes into play whenever a man or woman puts their faith in Christ. Faith activates a higher law.

There is more to the verse above than our escape from eternal death in hell by faith in Jesus Christ. In a broader sense, death represents all that came into the world through sin. The hallmark of death is pain, suffering, and grief for humanity. Disease is death. Fear is death. Poverty is death. Demonic oppression is death. These things operate through natural and spiritual laws. They are all manifestation of the law of sin and death. The same Spirit that freed us from eternal death by faith in Christ is more than able to do the same for any other law that operates in our lives causing death. It is natural for someone to be scared and afraid when things go awfully wrong. However, when the Spirit of life is at work, it overrides that law that produces fear. Faith is not denying natural realities. It is activating a higher law to subject circumstance of this life. Faith activates the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Start putting to work the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus today in every aspect of your life.

Take a moment and ponder upon the verse above. What laws of sin and death are currently operating in your life today? God says there is a higher way. Begin to declare the Word now that the law of the Spirit of life is setting you free from any law of sin and death.

Thank the Father for creating a way out of the grip of death in this natural world.

The law of the Spirit is activated by faith in the Word. Whenever you believe His Word, a higher law comes into play. Locate the word that addresses a situation in your life today and activates a higher law. Stand firm in faith, do not waver. Keep speaking and acting out in faith and watch the Spirit subdue circumstances before you.
