The Powerful Effect of a Written Vision

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, That he may run that readeth it (Habakkuk 2:2 KJV)

Vision is a picture in the mind of what is not yet physically existing; yes, God created us, every one of us, with an ability to form an image in our minds of things that we cannot yet see, hear, touch, smell or taste. If you ever dream of making positive changes or increasing in any aspect of your life, you must be a man or woman of vision.

Vision has a powerful positive influence on our human nature. A picture of what you want or what the future potentially has for you will inspire, motivate and encourage you to make it a reality.

There are two primary ways to see visions as believers. The first is prophetic vision, as in Habbakuk 2:2 above. In prophetic dreams, God reveals something directly to you; He makes you know it, creating a mental picture in your mind. The second is the vision we trigger by intentionally thinking and using our imagination.

Irrespective of how the vision comes to us, writing down the vision and making it plain before our eyes are critical. It is not enough to dream or want something—we should see that thing in our minds and write it down.

The written vision is the foundation upon which the house of any spiritual and natural progress is built.

Apply the Word

Many of us might start this year with no idea( no mental picture) of where we are going. Whether a direct prophetic vision or a vision from meditation, please ensure you have a clear picture of something in your mind for this year. God has given you the tools to make your way prosperous. Success is not an accident; instead, we make it happen.

Ask the Father to help you see spiritual and natural visions this year of your life.
