He Comes on that Day to be Glorified in His Saints

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe… in that day  (2 Thessalonians 1:10, KJV)

What happens Jesus the Man is glorified? John saw Him glorified in the book of Revelation and fell on his face. What did John see? He saw Jesus in a prophetic vision with His eyes like a furnace, His face as the sun, His clothes glittering white, His hair as wool, etc. This is the radiance of God’s glory. When he saw Jesus, he could not handle the glory. The verse above tells us that Jesus is coming to the earth to be glorified. He is already glorified in heaven as John saw. He is to be glorified, as a Man, on the earth. If this foundational truth is understood, I want you to re-read our scripture above and see for yourself the mysteries of God and glories that lie ahead of the believer.

He says Jesus is coming back and will be glorified in His saints, and will be admired in all them that believe. John saw Jesus, and his jaw probably dropped as He was in awe of the radiance of God’s glory. When Jesus returns, the glory of God will be so marvelous that the earth will admire His beauty. However,  Jesus will be glorified in His saints. That means the glory of God will be radiating not from Him per se, but from the believer. He will be seen in the believer as the believer! When you see the believer, you will see Jesus as the glory of God radiating all over that believer. God will be admired as He is seen glorified in His people. In case you still do not get it, that means God will be seen as you. He will be perfectly immersed in your being such that it will be you living yet not you but Him! Just as John saw Jesus in revelation, that is how the believer in Christ will glow! This is the inheritance of God for the believer, His glory.

There is even more. Do you know that this glory is already here? Your spirit man is glowing right now, and when angels who see the spirit see you, they see the glory of God and admire His beauty as they see you! That glory is already in our spirit. Our soul is being renewed now to experience it in the earth. However, when Jesus returns, our bodies will be changed to His glorious body and our outward appearance will then be as glorious as our spirit. What glory awaits us!
