What God Really Wants to do With Your Life
This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise. (Isa. 43:21 NKJ)
What does God really wants from you? His purpose for your life far exceeds using you here or having you live a righteous and holy life.
First, when we talk about “your life,” who is the “you” we are talking about? The scripture above says, “This people I have formed for Myself.” This is a reference to the new creation in Christ.
As a believer in Christ, you are a new creature, a child of God, bearing the divine nature. This new being is a marvel on the earth. You are not just a disciple trying to copy the life of Christ. You have been recreated by God, carrying His nature, and that is why you are called a “son of God” whether sister or brother.
The scripture above also gives us a good hint. It says “I have formed for Myself.” The purpose of the new creation is to fellowship with God and reveal Him. This is the glory of God, the experience and the expression of God’s Person and Presence.
You were born to enjoy and reveal God’s glory. You were not created to suffer from sin, satanic oppression, disease, poverty, shame, etc. You were born for the glory of God. God has no purpose for unnecessary suffering and oppression in your life. Persecution is the only suffering you are permitted to endure because you are not of this world.
Church, grow to maturity and enjoy your inheritance! If we remain babies, we will continue to be under the elements of this life until we reach maturity. You are a new creation, a son of God, born for God’s glory!
