The Worlds Were Framed by the Word of God
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3 KJV)
God framed the world by His Word. What an astonishing thought! We will briefly review what this means and how it applies to us today.
The term “framed” means “to be created, furnished, and prepared for a use or purpose.” So the writer of Hebrews had the creation story in mind (Genesis 1:1-3), not only of the natural but the spiritual creation, as Paul eloquently declares in Colossians 1:16: “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:16 KJV).
While Hebrews 11:3 describes the agency of the framing as “by the Word of God,” Paul uses “by Him,” that is, Jesus. God framed the worlds by speaking, and when He spoke, He (God the Word) went out to accomplish His will.
While on earth, Jesus the Word said: “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” (Mark 11:23 KJV)
In essence, He tells us that His people, who have His Spirit, can frame their worlds by speaking in faith—His children can do what He did.
Meditate
Please take a moment to think about Hebrews 11:3 and mutter those words to yourself.
Apply the Word
God is not interested in you relocating physical mountains and hills; the mountains are the obstacles in your world—spiritual, financial, health, family, etc. As He framed the worlds, He wants you to frame your world. You have His Spirit. You have His Word. So frame your worlds by His Word and Spirit!
Pray
Ask the Father to help you understand and believe what you just read.
