Take off the limits
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge… (Hos. 4:6 KJV)
Many believers have slumbered into the deception that what happens to their lives is completely up to God. They think whether they get blessed, healed, prosperous, etc is still God’s choice, and therefore they go ahead trying to impress God with their good performance such as holy living, giving, engagement in Church activities in an effort to “catch God’s attention”. And they automatically disqualify themselves with any failure on their part. This is not the way God relates to us in Christ.
The verse above says God’s people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. Read it again, and notice what it says; God’s people are destroyed. That is referring to us. There are millions of Christians suffering for what Christ paid for while thinking it is up to God to save them. Please note this, that there is nothing more than God can do to help any unbeliever or believer. All He had to do to give us the abundant life He promised, He has already done. One of the greatest revelations every believer will ever have for a victorious Christian life is to come to the understanding that God has already done everything He could do for us and has given to us all things we need for life and godliness. Your knowledge of God and ability to believe in what Christ did for you will determine how your life will look like here. The choice is no longer God’s, but ours.
MEDITATE
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
Think deeply about the verse above. How does it apply to you? What level of victory has your current knowledge of God and faith put you in? Are you waiting on God, or is He waiting for you to grow up?
PRAY
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Ask the Lord to show you ways you are suffering unnecessarily for things Christ paid for simply because you are ignorant of them or not believing what He did. Pray that He puts a desire in your heart for the Word so that your eyes will be opened and your heart softens to believe.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
Is there something specific today that you need, but you are waiting on God? Take action! Get to the Word, search it to know what God says and begin to apply your faith. See that faith works!
