How to provoke inspiration
The entrance of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple (Psalm 119:130, KJV)
We can provoke inspiration. This by itself should be a revelation to many of you. We are familiar with the inspiration of the Spirit when it comes to an understanding of the scriptures. The scriptures were given by divine inspiration. However, I am not referring to this spiritual aspect of inspiration there. I am talking about the inspiration for the daily life events that we encounter each day, such as what to do with that crisis at work. Some of you are stuck in your career and not sure what the next step is. Maybe your boss has given you a task at work and you have run out of ideas. I have got good news for you. You can provoke inspiration!
As a believer, you are in a privileged position. The Holy Spirit is in you. You have two spiritual devices in your hands that can provoke inspiration. The first is given to us above. The Word brings light, that is, inspiration! I sometimes read the scriptures to quicken my understanding to have ideas! No, you will not find the specific problem mentioned in the scriptures. You do not have to. What happens is that the Word quickens your understanding and makes you able to receive insights your normal mind cannot!
The second device is prayer, and especially speaking in tongues! As you stir up your spirit in prayer, the supernatural is released! Your Christian life is not limited to the four walls of the Church. Take advantage of the Spirit in every aspect of your life!
MEDITATE
I want you to say the words of Ps 119:130 again and again to yourself as you meditate on them.
APPLY THE WORD
Why don’t you test out what I shared above? Some of you are asking God for a business idea. You are asking for inspiration. I have shown you two devices in your hands to provoke supernatural inspiration. It’s your turn, get to work!
PRAY
Ask the Spirit to help you learn how to tap into the well of the supernatural in you.
