How did God Give us all Spiritual Blessings?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Eph. 1:3 KJV).

The scriptures abound with testimonies that the Lord has given us all we will ever need in this life, and the life to come. His provisions are beyond our wildest imagination. This was made possible through the grace Jesus brought to us. Any good thing you can name, came from the Lord!

Today, we will consider a very important concept that may not be as obvious. How did God give us all things? With our natural, worldly mindset, we may imagine God gathering all the blessings to give us. Perhaps He did an inventory of all heavenly blessings, hand-picked every single good thing He wanted to give you, and then packaged it all in a big parcel, just for you. Do you think this is what God did? Of course, not!

Rather than a gift basket of the best things of heaven, the Father gave us just one Gift. That Gift in itself is all things. When Jesus came into your heart at salvation, He did not deliver life, or bring in a light to guide your path. He brought only Himself, because He is the life and the light.

The Father gave us the gift of life as Christ dwelling inside us. This one gift, the Person of Jesus Christ, is all things God, in a Man.

MEDITATE

What has Christ been made to you? See verses such as 1 Cor. 1:24, 29, and Col 3:4. Declare that “Christ is in me, and everything I will ever need in life has been provided for me in Christ”.
