The Bait of the False Prophets
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live (Rev. 13:14 KJV)
If you have ever gone fishing, you probably know the importance of having the right bait for the fish hook. No bait, no catch. The fisherman uses the bait on the hook to attract fishes. False prophets have a bait. Do you know the name of the lure? You guessed it from the verse above. The bait is called miracles!
The second beast in Rev. 13:14 performed miracles to deceive his victims. Verse 13 says he called down fire from heaven in the sight of people. This is what Elijah did. Revelation 13:!4 above says he used miracles as a MEANS to deceive. Why? Because miracles are an excellent bait. They have worked, and will always work. Satan is using miracles today to deceive many in the Church. However, not all miracles are from God. Demonic spirits can perform lying miracles.
There is a terrible desperation for the so-called “breakthrough” amongst many believers. They are desperate for a miracle. They are desperate to get a prophecy, and they make themselves the perfect prey for these demonic spiritual predators. Do not let your desperation for a breakthrough break you. God has given you all things in Christ. Your revelation and faith are your greatest hindrances to your breakthrough. Know Christ, and the world is yours!
MEDITATE
Can demons work miracles or even prophesy? ( Acts. 16:16-18).
APPLY THE WORD
God uses men and women of God to help you through the anointing to break every yoke. Satan uses men and women to deceive you through false miracles. It is your spiritual responsibility to learn to know which is which. Beware of false and demonic ministers in increasing numbers today in Church circles.
PRAY
Please pray for the entire Church that God will help the believers grow in maturity and be established in the Truth.
