The atmosphere for miracles to happen • Deshen Daily

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God (Luke 1:35, ESV)

When the angel Gabriel told Mary she would have a son, Mary asked to know how that will be possible, seeing she was a virgin. The Angel spoke to her the amazing words above, that “the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God”. When Mary was overshadowed by the glory of God’s presence and power, Jesus was conceived in the womb. In the atmosphere of God’s presence and power, the miraculous took place!

There is an atmosphere created by the presence and power of God. It is vividly pictured in Gen 1:2 where the Spirit of God hovered upon the waters, like the brooding of a dove, setting up the stage for the miraculous to take place. When God began speaking, creation was brought forth. In Luke 5:17, it says while Jesus taught, the power of the Lord was present to heal. This is the glory of the power that is present somewhere,charging the atmosphere and ready for the miraculous to take place.

The Holy Spirit Himself, with the power He brings, is the atmosphere for the supernatural. The Word of God will be nothing but fancy scriptures without Him. Fellowship in prayer is the key to building this atmosphere in your life. And learning to be in fellowship with Him 24/7 is even more important. Do you know that you can personally have this atmosphere tangible over your life every single day? Just think for a second how your life will be!

APPLY THE WORD

Many people know prayer as a means of asking from God. Very few have known prayer as fellowship with the Holy Spirit, which is a greater dimension than just asking. Don’t stop asking, but move on to focus on fellowship in prayer! Create and maintain an atmosphere of the miraculous every single day by engaging the Spirit in prayer!
