For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. (Eph. 5:30 KJV)
A believer in Christ is not just a follower of Christ. There is a subtle but very important difference between a believer and a mere disciple. In principle, a disciple is someone who learns the doctrines and the manner of life of a master or teacher and follows those ways. A believer is by principle a disciple, but much more than that.
The scripture above is a mind-blowing presentation of who you are. We are members of His Body. The believer is a continuation of the life and work of Christ on earth, a replication of His life here on earth. You are not just a follower, but an expression of His very life. Jesus is no longer physically present on earth today with a physical body. His physical body here on earth today is you. If He has to touch someone, it will only be through your hands. All the believers put together to make up Christ’s Body physically present here on earth. You are a member of that body! The same life that flowed in Christ’s body flows in yours. It is impossible for you to fail, not because of your skills you have but because of what you have been made to be. You were created victorious in Christ from the start-born into perpetual victory. Revelation and faith stand between you and your full expression on earth.
Do not be afraid. Do not be anxious. Do not worry. What is in you knows no failure in any aspect of life.
Ponder and mutter the verse above as you muse to allow the Spirit show you the mysteries beyond those words.
Ask the Father to open your understanding to see that you are indeed a member of His body-for real!
ACT ON THE WORD
It’s your turn. Put God’s Word to work. You are “the Jesus” your neighbor or co-worker will ever see. Your hands are His hands. He wants to do what He did during His earthly life through you today. You are the wisdom of Christ in that business. God does not fail in business-that is why you also cannot fail. You know what to do-look inside of you! Act on the Word.
