King Nebuchadnezzar Fell Upon His Face and Worshipped Daniel
Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him (Dan. 2:46 KJV)
If you remember who King Nebuchadnezzar is, then you will immediately see what is almost could have been thought impossible in the verse above. He fell on his face at the feet of a little captive Jewish boy called Daniel and paid homage to him. What on earth was going on?
Nebuchadnezzar was the great king of Babylon known for his fits of rage, arrogance, pride, and wickedness of heart. However, God gave him a terrifying dream to show him the future of the kingdoms of the earth. He called his magicians and requested the unimaginable from them. He told them to tell him what he dreamed and then tell him the interpretation to prove that they can interpret it. Who in his right mind will ask such a thing from another man? However, God used the madness of this emperor to raise up Daniel in a foreign empire.
When the magicians in Babylon failed to tell their king what his dream was and the interpretation, Daniel came in and give the King the details of every single thing he saw in his dream, possibly including what he had forgotten and then gave the interpretation. King Nebuchadnezzar could not contain himself. He fell prostrate before little Daniel. People might appear tough outside, but they have their soft spots inside. When this spot is touched, they will melt like a cone of snow under the sun.
The world, like Nebuchadnezzar, is looking for answers. God has given us an ability to meet the needs of the world that no human effort can ever duplicate. This is what God is going to do in these days. Open your eyes, and allow the Lord baffle the world in and through you by His wisdom and great power.
