Glory and Grace: The Glorious Duo!
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Ps. 84:11 KJV)
There is a glorious relationship between the grace and the glory of God. It is for this reason that the teaching arm of our ministry is called “Glory & Grace” and the daily devotional “Glory & Grace Daily”!
The scripture above says the Lord will give grace and glory to His people. This was a prophetic word describing the days of the Messiah. God will lavish both grace and glory on His people. How is grace related to the glory of God given to us in Christ?
First, the glory of God will come to us through the grace of God. The experience of the divine nature( the glory) is beyond what we can ever imagine. God gave it to us as a gift, by His grace in Christ. The glory comes by grace. That means the more of God’s grace you know, the more glorious your life will become.
The glory of God is the destination of grace! The Apostle Peter says it so vividly: “Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you… when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow (1 Pet. 1:10-11 KJV) The glory of God follows grace! Grace came to bring us into the glory of God, making us the visible manifestations of the invisible God!
MEDITATE
Why must the glory of God be by His grace? Declare that “Grace is at work in my life bringing me into the fullness of the glory of God”.
APPLY THE WORD
The purpose of grace is to bring you into the glory. In fact, the glory of God is the full expression of grace. Until grace is visible in your life, it is not yet fully at work. Do not receive the grace of God in vain, but allow it do its full work!
PRAY
Thank the Lord for His marvelous grace revealed to us in Christ!
