And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8, ESV)
Many believers might not be aware that there is such a thing as grace for financial prosperity. A simple analogy to make here will be what I call “ministry grace”, which is God’s ability operating in ministers to carry out whatever ministry God has given them. It is divine empowerment to minister. Without this grace, ministry is nothing other than human ability in display and will have no lasting fruit.
Financial grace is divine ability operating in us to prosper. Yes, the power of God can enable a man or woman to increase financially. Moses first talked about this ability to the Israelites in Deut. 8:18
“You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth…” (Deuteronomy 8:18, ESV).
There is a power to get wealth. This power is the blessing. In the verse above, it is called “grace.” Our goal as believers is to know what this grace is and learn how to cooperate with it so that it can abound in our lives. The scripture above defines the results of this grace more fully as “ having all sufficiency in all things at all times.” Think about that! Three key facets: all sufficiency, in all things and at all times. This is God’s will for His people, and He fulfills that will through making grace to abound to us. This means if God wants a man to have all sufficiency in all things at all times, He gives financial grace to that individual. The good news is that financial grace is our inheritance in Christ.
