The Going Forth of God
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isa. 55:11 KJV)
John 1:1 teaches us in clear terms that the Word of God is God Himself. This is the mystery of the Trinity. The Word “goeth forth” of the mouth of the Lord, and that Word is God. That means whenever God speaks, He goes forth in the words that come out His mouth. God’s Word is God Himself gone forth to reveal and accomplish what He wants to do.
Jesus, the Word became flesh, made this remarkable statement that “If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me” (Jn. 8:42 KJV). Please notice the phrases “ proceeded forth” and “He sent Me” and compare them to “goeth forth” and “I sent it” in Isa. 55:11 and see the amazing similarities. God’s Word is sent to accomplish His purposes and His Word is God Himself going forth!
Jesus is the Word made flesh. The Bible contains the spoken words from God’s mouth. The Word incarnate and the spoken and written words of God carry the same life. What Jesus did while walking on the earth, the words that He speaks will do the same! The Word is God!

There is only so much that can be said about the subject above in a short piece of devotional. Please reread the verses and the devotional above if needed to ensure you catch the revelation that is going forth!
APPLY THE WORD
The Bible in your hands has the words God has spoken. When those words are activated by the Spirit through faith, they will do whatever God Himself is able to do. Start putting God’s Word to work in your life.
