Quit trying to get blessed
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:1 (Eph. 1:3 )
The blessing of God is like the morning dew that causes the earth to blossom. It beautifies our lives with the pearls of heaven. Abraham was the first man after Adam recorded in scripture that had the blessing working in his life. Â The blessing is a spiritual possession given by God. How do we get God to give us this blessing?
One of the pearls of being in Christ is that we are already blessed by faith in Christ. The scripture says in Galatians 3:14, that Christ was cursed for us “that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith”. You are blessed by faith in Christ. Every blessing, both physical and spiritual, is yours in Christ by faith. This truth is worth digesting in your spirit until it becomes your reality. It will free you from the pressure to get blessed. There are many believers who out of ignorance of the Word are struggling hard to get God to bless them. This is especially true in the arena of giving and tithing. Â You cannot sow seeds or tithe faithful enough to make God bless you. God has already blessed you in Christ. He wants you to believe that. Christ is the embodiment of all the blessing of God to us. What we might be trying to get is already ours. What we are really doing when we give is not to make God bless us but to release our faith to get the blessing to work in the area of our finances. It is so important we have a change in mindset, from trying to get blessed to know we are blessed and start living in the blessing.
MEDITATE
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
Meditate on Eph 1:3 above. You are blessed in Christ. Think about what it means to be blessed. Ponder upon the reality of the blessing in your life. Then start confessing and speaking, that you are already blessed in Christ.
PRAY
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Thank God for this wonderful gift. What the old testament saints had to earn by their good works has been given to us by faith in Christ. Ask the Lord for the understanding to know you are blessed, and how to operate in the blessing.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
Keep the Word in your mouth today. Â Do you know as a believer, whatever you touch has the blessing on it? Renew your mindset today. You are the blessing in whatever place you find yourself as the Lord leads you!
