No questions about God’s Will
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (Matt. 8:2-3 KJV)
Many believers are coming to God like the man with leprosy in this passage. They know God is able to do what they need but are not sure He really wants to do it for them. The man essentially said to Jesus “ Lord, I have no doubts about your power to heal me. My major issue now is if you are willing to do it. The barrier is You, not me”. It may sound very innocent from the outside but this is a grievous perception issue of who God is. It implies He resides in heaven with all the power to assist and help men but just does not want to do it. If this were true, then God is no longer loving but wicked.
Your perception of God’s will for your life is capital. Nothing will shake and erode your faith like any doubts about God’s will for you. I often tell believers, that one of the things we will find out when we get to heaven is how much God loved us and did all He could for us and we did not know it. It becomes even more complicated with Christians because out of our religious mindsets, we come up with all sorts of reasons why God will not do it for us. Jesus’s answer to the leprous man was simple-I will. Jesus is the express image of the unseen Father. He came to do the Will of the Father regarding our sins, disease, needs, security etc. If you ever have any questions about God’s Will for your life, look at Jesus. This scripture is dealing with disease and healing and establishes the willingness of God to heal us. The same is true for our finances, relationships, families, etc. God’s will is expressly shown to us in His Word. You do not need a prophecy or dream to know it. Some believers may be suffering unnecessarily under oppression from Satan because they assume it is God’s Will for them. Do not let this happen to you. The issue is no longer His Will, but our ability to receive. God is no longer the limit. His Will about our health, wealth, Christian lives, relationships etc is well known and shown to us in scripture. It will be to us according to what we know and believe.
MEDITATE
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
Are you certain of God’s Will for you? If not, you in a vulnerable position. Get the Word into your spirit by meditation until you have no shadow of doubt about what His will is for you.
PRAY
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Thank the Father that He has revealed His Will to us, and has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Ask the Spirit to open your eyes to His Word to see the Father’s Will for every aspect of your life.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
Stand up for your rights! If you are sick, Jesus’s response to you is “I will, I want to heal you”. He wants to provide. He wants to protect. You can safely stop begging Him to do it and start thanking Him for His goodness towards you. Then stretch your faith to receive what is yours! If you know it is not God’s will, you will aggressively fight it out of your life!
