How God works
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isa. 55:11 KJV)
It is obvious why it is crucial for us to understand how God works. The more we understand Him, the closer we get and the easier we can walk with Him. How does God really operate?
First, I want you to be settled on the fact that we can understand how God operates. He has revealed Himself to us, to show us who He is and how He operates. It is no longer some mystery. You are not breaking spiritual protocol when you seek to understand how God functions.
By the operation of God, I essentially mean how God gets stuff accomplished. If God wants to do something, how does He do it? What does God do if He wants to create? What does He do if He wants to save people? What does He do when He wants to give gifts to His children? Our scripture above gives us the cornerstone of how God operates.
God does everything He does by doing just one thing—speak. God works by speaking. Once this truth settles in your spirit, then your spiritual future of victory over victory is assured. When God wants to accomplish something, He sends His Word by speaking. Our God is a speaking God. When He speaks His Word, His Spirit fulfils it. The Lord works by His Word through His Spirit.
MEDITATE
I want you to take a moment and think through every word and sentence of Isa. 55:11 above as you read it from start to finish. Then say those words out loud as you read the verse from the beginning to the end.
APPLY THE WORD
Your contact with God is by the Word. The desire to know God personally and intimately. Do not be content with miracles, power or the routines of Christianity.
PRAY
Ask the Spirit right now to open your eyes to know the Lord intimately.
