God’s recipe to effortlessly change our lives

“But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3:18 NAS).

When we accept Christ into our hearts, our human spirit is regenerated or born again, just as a little baby is born. After we are born again, God begins the process of maturing the baby spirit inside of us, transforming our souls to conform to the full measure of Christ.

God does not want to change you by changing your behavior or attitude. This is the cause of frustration for many believers, and what perplexes the unsaved. You cannot produce any lasting change accompanied with joy by changing people’s outward behaviors. God wants to mold you from inside. He does so by showing you Jesus in the Word of God, and when you do, the Spirit changes your very soul to become like Him. It is amazing how this works. As you receive God’s Word and surrender to it, the Spirit of God will change you completely. It is effortless on your part. All you have to do is labor to get His Word inside of you.

MEDITATE

Meditation brings God’s Word into your spirit as you ponder and mutter it. Think through the verse above and say it out loud to yourself. Declare that “I am being transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit.”

APPLY THE WORD

God, as the potter, only fashions the clay that is given to Him. All you have to do is take the Word into your heart and surrender to what it says. You begin change, in any part of your life, by taking in His Word. Do you want to see a change in your health or finances? You now know what to do!
