“See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God” (1 Jn. 3:1 NAS).

One of the little things we do today for those we love and cherish is put their picture on the home screens of our phones. Those who use Facebook, WhatsApp, and similar applications, also use cover photos to demonstrate their love and concern.

The Lord has your picture on the “home screen of His phone”! This is a contemporary illustration of the verse above, which says “See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God.” We should know beyond any doubt, believe with all of our hearts in the love that the Father has for us. We thrive in the knowledge of how much God loves us and cares about us. There are many who are deeply hurt and are so broken inside because they really do not know, or maybe they know, but do not believe, that their heavenly Father dearly loves them. Rest in the love of the Lord all day long.

Try to imagine your picture on God’s phone! Do you see yourself as the beloved of God?

Thank the Lord for His overwhelming love for you and ask Him to help you truly know and believe this love.

“Keep yourselves in the love of God” all day today (Jude 1:21 NAS). Let your confidence be in His love for you instead of in yourself. Let it be your focus. Since ou know God loves you, do not get depressed if someone rejects you. Because God loves you, He will protect and keep you. He will make all things work for your good. That is what fathers do for the kids they love! Rest in His love today!
