Getting Rhema Word everyday

“Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas” (Acts 1:16 NKJ).

Christianity is a supernatural life, powered by the Word of God through the operation of the Spirit. Christian life without first hearing from God is a struggle. When you hear God, faith springs up, fear vanishes, and victory is assured. There is no struggle to make things work when you hear God. Please understand that the coming of the Holy Spirit to dwell within the believer has upgraded and transformed man’s ability to hear God.

God works with us today primarily through His Word, brought to us as the scriptures in the Bible. The entire scriptures constitute the totality of divine revelation to us. This is what is called the Logos. However, behind every scripture in the Bible is the voice of God that spoke it. When God speaks, whatever He says continues to live on for all eternity. The scripture above says the Holy Spirit spoke the scriptures through David. There is a voice of the Spirit behind every scripture. This is essentially what Rhema is—God’s voice to you. And you can get Rhema from the written scriptures when the Spirit breathes in revelation to your spirit. Something changes inside you when you hear God. This is why meditation is crucial to your very life if you ever dream of succeeding and flourishing with God. It is your sure platform for hearing from God.

MEDITATE

What is the relationship between “scripture” and the “Holy Spirit spoke” in Acts 1:16 above?

APPLY THE WORD

Have you heard His voice behind the words of the devotional above? If not, please read it again and meditate on it until you do. When God’s voice (the rhema word) hits your spirit, you will know it. Your face will shine, joy will spring up, and you will feel like you are walking on top of the world!

PRAY

Ask the Lord to teach you how to hear His voice in the scriptures.

    1. Amen! Praise the Lord you found that out too! It has been the testimony of God’s children. Jeremiah had the same experience!!
“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.”
