Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them (Deuteronomy 1:8 KJV)
The Lord spoke the words above to the Israelites as they prepared to take possession of the land of Canaan after leaving Egypt. He told them, “ I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.” The LORD had given them the land. It was there before them. They had to go in, engage in battle, and possess it.
The Lord is speaking these words to us today. Jesus said to His disciples:
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John 4:35 KJV)
The fields were white and ready to be harvested. There is some work to be done, but we have already won the battle before beginning the fight. The world around us is white and ready for harvest. Your neighborhood, city, and nation are before you, and the Lord is saying you should go in and possess! Souls have to be saved. Believers need to be built up. The glory of the Lord has to fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. We have to rule over sin, Satan, addiction, disease, poverty, fear, depression, and all the enemies of the Lord. It is the set time. Go in and possess the land which the LORD has given to you.
Take a moment and allow your mind to focus on the verse above in light of the devotional above.
