How to be fruitful everyday in your christian life

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. (Jn. 15:4 NAS)

The Lord wants us to be fruitful every day of our lives. Fruit is simply the visible manifestations of the seed of God inside of us. You should bear fruit in your Christian walk, service, family, social circles, neighborhood, etc. Galatians 5 gives us a good list of what is considered fruit, such as acts of love, kindness, peace, joy, patience, etc. In Acts 10:38, the scripture says Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed of the devil. This is bearing fruit!

It is possible to be a believer and be barren spiritually. There are believers who are truly saved but have no fruit. God does not want us to be barren. The secret of all-around fruitfulness is seen in the scripture above. It is quite simple- “abide in Me, and I in you”. This is not the same as believing in Christ and becoming saved. This is a different sense of abiding. Jesus clearly explained it in John 8:31 “Jesus, therefore, was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; (Jn. 8:31 NAS). The abiding, in this case, is AFTER you have believed and become saved. You abide by keeping and doing the Word of God as a believer. A fruit is the outward manifestation of the seed of the Word in your heart. The degree to which your outward life is under the control of God’s Word will determine the degree to which you will produce fruit.

Abide in Christ every single day. Keep your actions, words, and thoughts in line with God’s Word. This is the secret of fruitfulness. The power to bear fruit is in the Seed. It produces the fruit by itself if we will abide.

Think deeply on the verse above. Are you bearing fruit? Are there tangible visible pieces of evidence of the Word in your life?

It is a prayer request that is perfectly in line with God’s will. Answers guaranteed! Ask the Father to help you become fruitful in your walk with God.

ACT TODAY!

The greatest decision you can ever make as a believer that has the highest potential to change your life forever is to become attentive and diligent in God’s Word. Learn to DO the Word. We will be seriously deceiving ourselves when we act contrary to what God’s Word says and expect to see the blessing manifesting in our finances, jobs, family, etc. Whatever action or word that was prompted by the Word of God is called a fruit! The Word is the Seed that produces fruit! Act on God’s Word today. It might be “to forgive”, or “do not be worried” or “be thankful”. Whatever it is for you today, just do what God says.
