2 Corinthians 13:14 : the communion of the Holy Spirit

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.  (2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV)

We will conclude the miniseries on 2 Corinthians 13:14 which we started 2 days ago by looking at the communion of the Holy Spirit or the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Paul said the “communion of the Holy Ghost” be with you all. As with the previous phrases, it implies the fellowship of the Holy Spirit can “be” with someone.  What does this mean?

The word “fellowship” is an astonishing word that captures the intimacy of our relationship with God. Two crucial words in fellowship are togetherness and communication. Togetherness means being in the presence of each other, even without saying a word. God presence is real and you also have a presence as a person. Think about life in the atmosphere of God’s presence daily. That is a sneak peak of what the Garden of Eden was for Adam before the fall! The Holy Spirit is the presence of God with us. He wants you to live daily in the reality of His presence as the atmosphere of your life.

The second part of fellowship is communication. By virtue of the Spirit in you, God’s words can be brought to you and your words are brought to Him. The Holy Spirit makes communication with God a reality. You can talk to God 24/7, anywhere, anytime and live constantly in that sweet and glorious heavenly presence!

What is the fellowship of the Holy Spirit? How  can this fellowship “be” with us?

Paul asked that the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Yes, it is possible to live perpetually in the presence of God. I have taught repeatedly about this glorious truth. It will be a game changer for your practical daily Christian life. Grow in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and enjoy the constant blessing of communion with God’s presence.

Pray that the Father will help you grow in the fellowship of the Spirit.
