There is a God in Heaven

But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days (Dan. 2:28 KJV)

King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream from God and desperately needed an interpretation. He asked for the impossible—with men. He asked his magicians to tell him his dream and then the meaning of the dream. Who in his rational mind will ask such a thing from another man?

When Daniel was brought in to Nebudchadnezzer after all the magicians, the king asked him if he was able to tell him his dream and then the interpretation. Daniel responded and said, “there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets.” Praise the Lord! His strength was not in magic or human abilities. There was a God in heaven that was with Daniel. He was the secret of Daniel’s exploits. Daniel had access to divine wisdom the wise men in Egypt did not have.

As a believer, it should be ingrained in your spirit that in the midst of all the fears and anxieties going on in the world today, that there is still a God in heaven that is with you and calms the storms of life. There is a God in heaven that heals, even the incurables. There is still a God in heaven that protects, provides and delivers His people. The earth may roar, but there is a God in heaven that rules over all. Be still and know that He is indeed a God who rules over all.

MEDITATE

How did God reveal this secret to Daniel? ( Dan. 2:17-19). Declare and fill in the gap in the following statement with what you are trusting God for “ There is a God in heaven that……”.

APPLY THE WORD

As you go on dealing with the affairs of life today, remember that there is a God in heaven that seats on the throne of the universe. He is well, alive and still reigning as the sovereign King over all of the works of His hands. Trust and rest in Him.
