Unleash the power of words today
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Heb. 11:3)
The power of words is clearly portrayed in the scripture above-God created the world we know by words. Many believers find the idea of speaking to command changes almost laughable when they hear about the power of words taught in Christian circles. Â I have even read contemptuous comments like “speak it and have it, people”. The idea of the power found in words is not from some religious folks, or some group of zealous Christians who are seeking to have a fancy, get-it-easy sort of scheme. Â The realm of the spirit is ruled and governed by words. And you are not yet ready for walking fully in the realm of the spirit with the power and authority of God until you have fully comprehended the power that is found in words.
The power of words is not some mystical power. It is the power of God that is unleashed by speaking. Please do understand that not every spoken word unleashes the power in the realm of the spirit, but faith-filled words that release the power of God. Jesus said, “for verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”. (Mk. 11:23). Unfortunately,  most of the words believers sometimes speak are not faith-filled words, and are therefore void of any spiritual power. You can speak and have no results if you doubt in your heart when you are speaking in unbelief. Escape the snare of speaking faith-like words without true faith in your heart. It will do nothing in the spirit and only cause you to be disappointed and frustrated.
Start speaking God’s Word over your life and circumstances. This is a skill that is NOT optional for you as a believer if you want to learn to walk in spiritual authority over the events of your life. If you are sick, choose to speak ” by His stripes my body is healed, therefore -(name of sickness) I command you to leave my body”. This is foolishness to the natural mind but powerful in the spirit. Do not try to reason out how this works, as much as you would try to explain how words created the universe you see. God rules the universe by speaking. Unleash the power of words in your life today.
MEDITATE
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
Meditate on the devotional verse above. One of the ways of unleashing the power of words is by muttering the scriptures. Meditation is not only thinking but muttering the scripture. There is power as you mutter,  speaking  God’s Word. Joshua 1:8 was not referring to “thinking” about the Word but speaking it under your breath, that is, muttering. As you speak His word, it conditions you to become what it says. You meditate by thinking and speaking the word. Again, this might not make sense to you-spiritual things will often not make sense to your mind. There is power in words.
PRAY
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
It is vital we understand the power of words. This is a spiritual reality and requires revelation to really get it. Ask the Teacher, who is the Holy Spirit to reveal this truth to you. If you KNOW you still do not “get this thing”, please take out time, and study the scriptures for yourself and ask the Spirit to meet you with insights and revelation as you do.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
Start applying the Word today by muttering the scripture above. As you meditate on this devotional start speaking the words of the verse above. Learn to talk like that all day, every day. Make it personal. Say it out loud, that you are speaking to this mountain of foolishness or poverty or disease in your life and it is going away. These words will condition your spirit and the spiritual atmosphere around you to get the result. Â Life is more spiritual than most of us realize. There is spiritual power in words.
