Planted in the House of the Lord

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God (Ps. 92:13 KJV).

The House of God is the dwelling place of God’s presence. To be planted in the House of God means to be brought into and established in God’s Presence. The Psalmist was speaking prophetically about the blessings to be enjoyed by the believer in Christ.

We are planted in the house of the Lord the day we receive Jesus into our hearts. This means we are brought into the very presence of Almighty God. And God is the One, like the Gardener of His own Garden, who does the planting!

The scripture says in Isa. 60:21, “Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.” He calls the process “my planting.” God Himself has planted us in His House. He has brought us into His presence.

This truth is so vital to understand. The believer in Christ has been brought into God’s presence. There is no more wall of separation. The veil of the temple that separated the Ark of the Covenant from the rest of the Temple was split from top to bottom when Jesus died. The way to God’s presence was then open to man perpetually through the work of Christ!

You should take hold of this truth. It should become immersed and engrained in your spirit. You have been brought into the presence of God. You are currently there, and living from there!

MEDITATE

How does God plant someone in His House? See Rom. 6:5. What happens to those who are planted in God’s presence from Ps. 92:13 above?

APPLY THE WORD

If you have been planted in the House, you do not need to plant yourself anymore. You are already in! Let this consciousness fill your heart.

PRAY

Ask the Spirit to help you become aware and conscious of His presence, and give you an understanding of how to grow and begin to live fully in His presence.
