I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Phil. 4:13 KJV)
The Apostle Paul made a remarkable statement by the Spirit in Philippians 4:13 above that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. This is the full fulfilment of the revelation the Spirit had given to the prophets of old that the LORD is their strength. David, for example, said “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? “(Ps. 27:1 KJV). The Lord was indeed David’s strength, as evidenced by his military victories beginning with Goliath.
The word “strengtheneth” above means “to enable” or to make someone able or capable of performing a task. This includes both natural and spiritual strength. David was empowered with natural might for his battles. The Lord is able to make you capable of performing both natural and spiritual tasks. Christ in you, is the power that enables you to do things beyond your natural ability. Put this revelation to work in your job, home, business, etc. The Anointed One is in you by His Spirit and He strengthens you.
Spiritual strength is even more important. It takes the strength the Spirit provides to live the Christian life or serve God. Christianity is not a natural life. This is the frustration of millions of Christians. They are trying to believe, love, be joyful, etc by their own strength. These are spiritual tasks and you need to be enabled spiritually. Christ in you is the power of God that makes you able. Learn to live from the inside.
Declare that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Speaking God’s Word does something in your spirit that mere reading or thinking will never accomplish. Learn to talk the Word.
