According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Pet. 1:3 KJV).
God has given us everything we need in this life, through the sacrifice of His Son. I encourage you to study, and meditate on this scripture, until you catch what God wants to communicate to you. This truth has the power to completely change your mindset regarding the impact Christ’s work on the cross has on your life, and on your everyday struggles.
Did you notice the words “that pertain unto life and godliness”? The Lord references all things in your life, whether spiritual or natural. The Christian mindset is embedded with the idea that God is not interested in our everyday struggles. We get excited about the forgiveness of sins, but when it comes to financial provisions, for example, we doubt God’s will.
He is El-Shaddai, able to meet all the needs of His people. Do not compartmentalize your life to exclude certain needs from the reach of Christ’s work on the cross. He paid the price to redeem all of you- your spirit, your body, and all things related. You are covered; look no further. All that you need is in your Savior.
How does the verse above say God gave us everything we need? Declare with all boldness and confidence that “God has given to me everything I need in life, whether spiritual or natural”
