The christian life—boring & frustrating? • Deshen Daily

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal. 2:19 NIV)

The Christian life can be full of life from heaven or packed with frustration and boredom, depending on which side you are functioning in. If we fail to understand what Christianity really is, even as believers, we will spend a good deal of our time struggling and trying to make “ends meet”.

The scripture above gives us the essence of what the Christian life is. It is Christ living in and through a believer. It is Jesus Christ living His life through us as His vessels of expressions. Christianity is an impossible life for any man to live. Only one Man can live this life, and that is Christ alone. A Christian is simply a visible manifestation of Christ living His life through a human being. It is the mystery of Christianity, Christ dwelling in us and living through us.

There are few things that can lead to frustration and disappointments compared to a religious mindset attempting to live the Christian life by human strength. The Christian life, however, is a supernaturally powered life. Without that power driving it, it disintegrates into an empty and frustration religious experience.

The more you allow God live through you, the more glorious your life will become. God has not called you to come to Him and “try your best” or “manage to get the thing done”. He has called you to be a vessel to let Him live through you. Yielding to the Spirit of God is your ticket to a life full of glory, victory, and beauty because Christianity is not a struggle to become or do something but t a life to express but the power of the Spirit. Know God, and improve your life as a result. Yield to Him, and see His glory. Stop trying to do it. Just let Him do what He alone can do by learning to let Him have His way in your life.

Live today with the consciousness that Christ is in you. The only Jesus that that neighbor of yours will ever see, is you! You are a revelation of Christ to your world, His flesh and His bones. Be conscious of who you really are today as you get your day started.
