Become Conscious of the Reality of the Spirit Realm • Deshen Daily

And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha (2 Kings 6:17 KJV)

The Lord opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant in answer to his prayer when enemy soldiers surrounded them, and the servant looked around and saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire from heaven. Just seconds before this event, he could only see Elisha and the enemy around them. God gave him a physical vision of the spiritual, and his fears immediately died down.

Will God give all of us physical visions as He did to this servant? No. Rather, He wants you to come to this knowledge and awareness and then develop a consciousness that there is such a spiritual realm around you at all times.

We are trained from birth to relate to our world through our physical senses. We must realize however, that there is a world outside of our natural world but that directly influences this natural world. That is the spiritual world. That world has God, His angels and spiritual things and processes going on. That world also has Satan and his demons, with their spiritual things, activities, and operations.

Train yourself to be constantly aware of God’s presence and the angels around you just as Elisha’s servant saw above.

MEDITATE

Did you hear any sound of angels moving around you today? Very likely not! Does it mean because you did not hear or see them they are not there?

APPLY THE WORD

You build consciousness by frequently calling to mind. That means, think about it, believe it and let it guide your reality. Let the awareness of God’s world fill your life. Become conscious of His presence and power. If something negative happens, think of what the power of God can do about it and focus on that.
