You are born of God
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (Rom. 8:16 KJV)
Our greatest identity as believers is that we are the children of God. There is no one who would better understand the full implications of being called a Father than our heavenly Father. God has begotten us as His children when we believed in Christ. That means the new man in us is actually God’s child, born of God by the Seed of His Word and His Spirit.
The believer is no longer an ordinary human. In fact, the verse above tells us that the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are indeed the children of God. The Spirit sees in us what is truly a feature of a begotten child of God. We carry the very nature of God inside of us as His children. This is what the Spirit sees within us and confirms that of a truth, we are really born of God and His children. The implications are transcendent. The children of God on the earth have their birthrights. God shows up as their Father and bears the full responsibilities of a Father. We can live on earth with the full assurance of a Father that is watching over everything concerning us. Learn to see God as the Father He truly is. Let Him to Father, and have a child-like heart before Him. He is never overwhelmed, or frustrated with us. He wants to show Himself fully as our Father in all things.
MEDITATE
The Word in your mind and mouth ( 1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
Ponder deeply on the verse above, that you are truly a born child of God. Confess the Word that you are a child of God, and God is indeed your Father.
PRAY
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Thank the Lord for adopting us into His family. Give Him praise for the wonder of making children out of rebels. Ask the Lord for the grace to function in this revelation every day of your life.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
There are some things children do not worry about, such as food or security. Can you let Him be indeed Father today? Spend the day thanking Him for making you His child, and believing that as Father, He is doing what fathers do.
