When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick (Matt. 8:16 KJV)
Divine healing is the termination of a disease process with restoration of health in the body and/or the mind as a result of a direct intervention of God’s power. It is a supernatural act of God that produces healing in the body or mind beyond every natural means.
Scriptures abound that prove without any reasonable doubt that divine healing is a reality. And medical miracles still occur today. I understand that some scholars hold that healing miracles passed away with the Apostles because they were needed to prove the Gospel and establish the Church. If that generation needed convincing miracles to demonstrate God, the generation we are dealing with right now and future generations need a thousand times more demonstration of God!
Medical miracles are a reality today. I have attending meetings with miracles occurring right before my eyes which I know as a physician are beyond the scope of medical science. It is our responsibility to learn how to obtain healing for our bodies or minds when we are challenged by sickness. The scripture above shows us what was typical of Jesus’s ministry-healing of the sick and casting out demons. Jesus is the walking and living manifestation of the will of God( John 6:38). If you ever doubt what the will of God is, simply look at the life of Jesus. God wants you healthy and vibrant.
Why is healing available for the believer in Christ today? ( Matt. 8:16-17). Declare that “ By His stripes, healing was made available to my body and mind”
APPLY THE WORD
Learn to put God’s Word to work. If you are sick, learn what is required of you as a believer to activate God’s power to produce healing in your body. Test and see for yourself that God’s Word works.
Ask the Lord to open your understanding to know how healing from heaven operates so you can take full advantage of it.
