Christ lives in you

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal. 2:19 NIV)

Christianity is Christ living His life in and through a believer. He speaks, sees, heals, touches, gives, shows love and mercy, etc through His people. This is what distinguishes Christianity from mere religion. And if Christ is living, it means the power to do what He has commanded is no longer from us but from Him. Until a believer assimilates this truth and begins to live in its reality, the Christian life will be a daily struggle, which can ultimately lead to frustration and disappointments. There is only one person that can live the Christian life, and that is Christ Himself. We will be better off letting Him do what He wants to do, rather than struggle to do it ourselves.

God has not called the believer to prove anything to Him. He does not want us to show Him how much we can live for Him or serve Him. He knows it is beyond our ability to do this. He has chosen in His infinite wisdom to make us what He wants us to be, and do through us what He wants us to do. Over the years we have made the Christian life through our religious attitude more difficult than it was designed to be. The more we let God live through us, the easier our walk of faith will be. His strength is made perfect in weakness. The day we stop trying, then we will begin to truly live. The more you get out of God’s way, and let Him live through you, the more exciting your Christian life will become. God wants us to bring to the table just two words-“Trust and obey”. If you will only do what He has commanded, in faith, and not worry about how it will happen or where the power will come from, then you are ready for the glory of God to be revealed through you.

Get this truth settled in your spirit. Christ lives in you. You do not have to see heaven open and Christ coming into your heart. He wants you to believe His word, that He is doing what He promised. Your thoughts, words, and actions are no longer yours. It is you living, but no longer you! That is the mystery revealed in the verse above. Believe that He is living through you. Expect Him to manifest Himself through you. You are a Christian, a vessel to express the beauties of Christ.

MEDITATE

The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)

Let this word sink deep down your spirit, that Christ lives in you. Say it over and over, that “He lives in me”.

PRAY

Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)

Ask the Lord to give you the understanding to know that Christ lives in you.

APPLY THE WORD TODAY!

Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)

Practice this Word today. Live with the consciousness that when you speak, Christ is speaking in you; when you act, He is acting in you. You do not need to hear a prophecy confirming it. Just believe and act in line with the truth that He is truly in you. As you believe and act, He shows up!!
