How To Apply The Word To A Situation
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, (2 Cor. 4:13 NKJ)
The Lord gave us the Word so that we can apply it practically in the day-to-day challenges we face each day. But how do I practically apply the Word to a crisis I am facing in my life?
God’s Word operates in our lives following the principle of a seed that is planted to grow and produce a fruit. If you want oranges, you get an orange seed, plant it in the ground, and nurture it to grow into an orange tree that will bear fruit. God’s Word is the “super seed of life” that is planted into the ground of human hearts to produce the fruits of life that God wants, and that we also desire, such as healing or deliverance.
Imagine you are seeking healing for your body, joy in your heart, deliverance from some satanic oppression, a financial breakthrough, etc. These are all fruits. To get a fruit, you need to plant a seed and nurture it to grow.
The first step, therefore, is to search the Word and look for the Seed, which is what God has said regarding your situation.
Once you find the seed, you should then plant the seed in the ground of your heart by meditating upon it until it takes root in your heart through your understanding and faith.
Once that seed is rooted in your heart, start speaking it out, for that is the spirit of faith. Then start manifesting the Word by acting in line with what it says. Continue to do this until you obtain your desired fruit!
MEDITATE
Is God’s Word an effective seed? See Heb. 4:12.
APPLY THE WORD
Is there a fruit you are looking for? You now know what to do!
