When the enslaved Jews multiplied in Egypt, Pharaoh knew he had to do something otherwise, Israel will become the threat to their survival as a nation.
Fear of God
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and might, The spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD (Isaiah 11:2 KJV) Isaiah listed the fear of the LORD as one of the influences of the Holy Spirit in our lives
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate (Prov. 8:13 KJV). Scripture discusses two types of fear with respect to our attitude towards God. The first is fear resulting from sin, causing us to dread approaching God, in fear of
“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil” (Prov. 8:13 NAS). This scripture provides a defintion for “the fear of the LORD.” Many believers are probably aware of Proverbs 9:10 (NAS), which says “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” Proverbs 8:13 gives us another straightforward definition of what it means
