To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Eph. 1:6 KJV)
The original word that is translated “accepted” in the English translation is a rich Greek Word “charitoo”. The main idea of this word is not “acceptance” per se, but of bestowing abundant favor. The only time this same word is used in the entire New Testament in Luke 1 when the angel brought the good news to Mary. “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women (Lk. 1:28 KJV).
God has bestowed tremendous amount of favor upon us, in Christ. The Beloved, that is Christ Jesus, is the reason why we are favored. He brought the favor of God to us. Favor is the extension of divine kindness. It is so important to grasp this concept in our Christian walk. We are standing on a platform of favor where everything is else and no good thing is withheld from us. It should be our mindset. The Psalmist said “for the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly “(Ps. 84:11 KJV). Did you see that? No good thing is withheld upon the platform of grace upon which we stand. Be bold. Be confident. Christ has brought you into favor you did not work for. Let it rule your day. Expect this favor to show up not only in “spiritual things” but in your relationship with men around you.
You are accepted in the Beloved. You have been highly favored. Expect this favor in your day. Faith releases grace in our lives. We have to believe and act upon it to see it.
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Joshua 1: 8)
Meditate on that Word over and over for it to rule your mind.
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Thank the Father for the platform of favor upon which you stand.
