Two Things that will take place in 2017 and beyond

We want to wish you all a blessed and prosperous 2017, and take a moment to share with you two things that will certainly take place in 2017. This is not a prediction, a vision or some new prophetic utterance. I am sharing with you the prophetic Word written in the scriptures, which is sure. There are two trends that the scripture clearly teaches will occur on the earth, and they are already happening right now.

Light and darkness

A Sure Word of Prophecy

Isaiah 60:2 says

For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you. (Isa. 60:2 NAS)

Did you notice the “But” in the verse above? This word gives us the two trends that will taken place in the world in these last days.

The first is that “darkness will cover the earth”. This is not referring to the physical darkness of the night, but to spiritual darkness that will cause gloom, sorrow, pain, grief, sin, fears, and a shaking of the nations of the earth. The world is not getting better. The world’s systems are being shaken by the darkness, and will touch every aspect of life, from family, health, finances to politics and international relations. This is the destiny of the world, and all that is associated with it. But your case is different, and God has not designed your life to part of what is going on in the world.

The second, and most exciting for you, is that “But the LORD will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you”. Do you remember how in the same night in Egypt, the Israelites had light while the Egyptians were in darkness? God will reproduce this same effect in a larger and bigger scale. This is the most exciting days to be a believer, and for the Church. God’s glory upon you is the experience of His presence, His nature and His very life in you.Christ in you is the glory of God dwelling right now in you. God will manifest Himself in your life in incredible ways. Heaven has come to merge with earth, and your life will shine the Light of heaven in the midst of the darkness as a tiny light bulb shines in a dark room. That means when men’s hearts fail because of financial crises, you will not be part of it. When people are sick, you will be vigorous, vibrant and pulsating in health. When demons oppress people, you will be the one to bring deliverance. When families crumble around you, you will to there to lift them up. God wants to use your life as a light to shine in the ever-increasing darkness. Some of you who have never experienced God’s tangible abiding and manifest presence will have an anointing come on you that you have never imagined. This is grace, and it increases when sin and darkness increase around us. It will take the glory of God in your life to withstand and thrive in these last days.

What does that mean to you?

These two trends will accelerate as the coming of the Lord draws near. What does that mean to you? First, you should not freak out, be afraid or get depressed by what is happening to the world. The world is not getting better. It cannot get better. This is not a natural phenomenon, but a supernatural one. The only hope for the world is Christ, and as long as they remain in the world, they will deal with the darkness. Remember therefore to win souls to Christ, because that is the only hope for them. Secondly, get excited about the exploits you will have with God this new year. However, those who are not walking intimately with the LORD will suffer the same things the world suffers. The hope of the world is to find Christ. The hope for the believer to escape the casualties of the world is not longer to find Christ but to become mature, full-blown Christlike, and enjoy the fullness of the blessings in Christ. Babe christians will struggle with the darkness, and make themselves prey to spiritual predators, manipulators, false teachers and prophets. These predators will use the vulnerability of spiritual babes and their desperation for “breakthrough” to trample upon them and make them a money-making factory ( 2 Peter 2:3). As the Lord’s coming draws near, there will be a price-tag attached to spiritual immaturity, because it will take well-grounded faith in the Word to overcome the darkness. The darkness shall not be subdued by mere tears or complaining in prayer, but by the full-blown operative faith of mature sons and daughters.

In conclusion, we will all live on the earth, but we will have different experiences, either light or darkness. You are light, and get excited about what is coming to you this year!

Have a blessed and wonderful new year celebration!
