For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Rom. 8:14 KJV) The Lord gives us a characteristic of those who are called sons in the scripture in Romans 8:14 above. Sons of God are those who are led by the Spirit. This is the default position
Leadership of the Spirit
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matt. 4:19 KJV) The disciples were with Jesus for three years, and their lives were never the same thereafter. They were with the Master, observing what He does and how He did it, hearing every teaching and sermon He preached
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law (Gal. 5:18 KJV) The secret to a higher life in Christ, above the laws of this fallen broken world, is to live in the Spirit. There are many synonym words that could be used to describe this glorious state of living
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law (Gal. 5:18 ESV) We are led by the Spirit when the Holy Spirit guides and powers our lives, including our thoughts, words, and actions. This is in contrast to being led by the flesh, which does not necessarily mean sinful inclinations.
