Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (Jas. 4:7 )
We live in a heavily spiritual environment called the earth. Satanic activity against us covers the entire spectrum, from obvious ones such as witchcraft or demonic possession to less subtle manifestations affecting people’s health, finances, and relationships. A great weakness many of us have in this regard is under-recognition of demonic activity. I heard someone here in the US say demonic activity is limited mostly to African and Asian countries. What ignorance!
We need spiritual discernment to know what is happening around us. Not everything is demonic, and you do not want to miss demonic activity and wrongful label it as “natural”. God has given us the ability to keep Satan out of our lives. He is a defeated foe. Peter said “whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Pet. 5:9)“. One of the ways of resisting the devil is by our faith. The Bible calls faith a spiritual shield against demonic attacks. Fear is a fertile breeding ground for demons. When we face a crisis and fear, panic, anxiety, and worries take a hold of us, Satan and his demons thrive. They hate those who refuse to waver from God’s Word. It might not seem important to us naturally but faith is a large shield that keeps the enemy away.
If you learn to hold firm to God’s Word in faith, Satan will flee from you. He comes and sometimes makes the situation appear worse so that we can waver in unbelief. Resist him today but refusing to doubt God’s word in unbelief to give him a place. Stand your grounds on what God has said. It works.
The Word in your mind and mouth ( 1 Tim 4:15; Joshua 1: 8)
Think of the word above today and let it take firm root in your heart.
Water the Seed( word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Ask the Spirit of the Lord for discernment to know what is happening spiritually around you.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
Satan will likely come today through a situation or somebody to steal your joy, wreck your finance to cause serious relationship trouble. If you do not learn to discern the real enemy, you will end up fighting against people. God’s Word is your anchor. Stick to it, and you will have the victory.
