But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. ( 2 Pet3:18).
We are all living at different levels of grace in our Christian life. The degree of divine manifestations and the benefits of the finish work of Christ at work in and through us define the level of grace we are operating in.God has given us the grace to function in different offices in the Body of grace. The Apostle Paul writes “but unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. (Eph 4:7). The context of this verse tells us he was speaking specifically about ministerial gifts to serve in the House of God.
There is House-wide grace for every believer, irrespective of their ministerial calling. Forgiveness is grace for every one of us. The gift of the Holy Spirit is grace for every believer. But there is grace for service, that is tailored to every believer by Jesus Christ. Whether it is the common grace for all believers in the salvation package to man or the specific grace for a ministry like that of a prophet or teacher, there are different levels of experience of that grace given to us. If you have the gift of healing operating in you, there are different levels of that gift. God wants us to grow in whatever grace we have received from Him.
We grow in grace by growing in knowledge and the level of faith.
In His grace, God has given us different gifts for performing certain tasks well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 2 Peter 1:2 says “grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord”. As your knowledge grows, so does the level of grace that operates in your life. Romans 12:6 says “having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith”. The gift of prophecy in a prophet, which is grace at work, will function in proportion to the level of faith at work. If the faith grows, so does the grace of prophecy.
The key to access the treasures of the grace in Christ is revelation and faith. And the Word of God imparts these to whosoever is willing, available and hungry. Go for God’s Word.
The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)
At what level is grace at work in your life? Low, intermediate or high? Or are you seeing grace in the forgiveness of your sins but not in the healing of your body? Think on these things.
Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)
Knowledge and faith do not drop from heaven. Your desire and pursuit for these open the door for the Spirit to bring these. Ask God to give you a desire for His Word. His Word will impart revelation and faith.
APPLY THE WORD TODAY!
Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)
If you are facing a challenge in your life and need God to show up, you have a choice. Unleash grace in that area of your life! Load your spirit with the revelation about that domain and boost your faith. In brief, search the scriptures and soak your spirit with the Word of God and see what happens. Often, believers run into problems and have no light of the Word or the faith to believe for a miracle. This is setting ourselves up for defeat. Do something about your situation. Do not complain or grumble, set the stage for grace to manifest in your life. The work of Christ is already finished!
