But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8 NKJ)
God’s love is the remedy for the brokenness of humanity. There are many out there who would think differently of themselves if they knew how much God loves them. Others would not do the things they do to themselves, or to others, had they known God’s love for them. Nothing can replace God’s love in our hearts.
God has already demonstrated His love for us. The love of God, called agape, is not merely a feeling that He has for us. God’s affections for us are involved. God wants us, and His heart is gone after man.
Neither is his love just something He does for us, void of any affections. His love for you combines these two aspects. It describes His heart and His relationship with us that perfects us, makes us whole, and beautifies our lives. Agape is God relating to you in goodness for your good.
His love has two key components:
The first is that it does not make sense when we consider who is loved! It is unconditional, as described in the scripture above. God loved us while we were still in sin. You would have expected Him to love saints.
And secondly, He did the greatest thing anyone can ever do for another. Christ died a horrible death to save us. God did His best for us while we were at our worst. He loves us and wants us to be saved. The world needs to know He loves them, and receive this love by believing in Jesus. The child of God needs to know even more and enjoy His love daily.

APPLY THE WORD
If God loves you, He will never harm you, and will work everything in your good. Do you believe this? Then remain in this love. Jude 1:21.
Thank the Lord for His love in your life today. Bless Him for demonstrating that love for you.
