What you see is what you get!

And the word of the LORD came to me saying, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a rod of an almond tree.” (Jeremiah. 1:11)

The Lord asked the young prophet “what do you see?”. Jeremiah was shown a prophetic vision, and he told the Lord in return what he saw. There are still prophetic visions today, but there is another type of seeing which is crucial for every believer. It is the eye of revelation and faith. When you have knowledge of something and believe in it in the kingdom, you have seen it.

The reason this is so important is that what we see is what we get. Knowledge and faith are keys to assess the treasures of grace. You set your limits by the amount of the knowledge of God you have and what you can believe. God does not set any limit for any of us. One believer gets healed while another suffers from the same disease. One believer is full of the presence of God and demonstration of His power while another is struggling with spiritual dryness every day and barely surviving as a Christian. One believer reigns over demons while another moves from one Man of God or church to another seeking someone to pray for them. It is easy for us to find solace by saying it is probably not the will of God for us; in other words, it is God who has determined that we remain in this state, not us. Once you accept a lie as such, that is what you are seeing, and that is what you will get. We determine what we will get in Christianity, not God. God has done His part.

What do you see? Knowledge and faith are our keys to living an ever-victorious Christian life.

MEDITATE

The Word in your mind and mouth (1 Tim 4:15; Josh 1: 8)

The Word in your mind and mouth is the spiritual device of getting the word to sink in your spirit and begin to produce results. Declare that you are seeing wonderful things in the Word. Think about that challenge you are about to face today. What do you see in it?

PRAY

Water the Seed (word) to grow. Invite the Spirit’s strength! (Isa 32:15; Zach 4:6)

Ask the Lord to open your eyes to begin to see. Spiritual blindness will cost us blessings, prosperity, and peace. Pray that you will desire to search the scriptures to see, and your heart will begin to see the possibilities of faith in the circumstances of your life today.

APPLY THE WORD TODAY!

Your door to a blessed life today is doing God’s Word. Refuse to be a hearer or reader only! (James 1:22-26)

Think about your day. What do you see in your day? Failure, fear, that disease again? Or do you see healing, spiritual fulness, prosperity? Intentionally see God’s Word in your circumstance today.
