Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (Jn. 4:10 NAS)

Water is life, even in this natural life. Life on earth will cease instantaneously without water. The Spirit of God is to us as natural water is to our physical life. He quenches our thirst and brings us satisfaction in life. He is the Living Water that sanctifies and cleanses us daily.  Romans 15:16 says “..that my offering of the Gentiles might become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit”. When we offer our spiritual sacrifices to God, like worship and praise,  they are sanctified by the Spirit before they are presented to the LORD!

Drink of the Water of life constantly, and every day. This is what happens when you meditate on the Word and fellowship with the Spirit in prayer. You get refreshed, cleansed, sanctified and reenergized.  There is Water available to quench the thirst and bring that inner fulfillment and satisfaction every day. When the pressures of life appear to be weighing on you or attempting to weary you out, remember that there is Water from above to refresh and strengthen you always.

MEDITATE -Water of life

God’s Word takes a hold of you as you meditate on it. You get to become one with what it says. You see yourself in it.

PRAY

The scripture above teaches us that if we ask Him, He will fill us with this Water from above.  Ask that the Lord will yet again fill you this day to overflow with the Water of life.

ACT NOW!

If you are feeling weary and overwhelmed today, stretch your hands in faith and receive the Water of life to refresh your soul. Allow the Lord to give you Water to drink to quench every thirst and longing inside of you.
